7Story is a placemaking consulting practice that helps cities, neighborhoods and organizations create vibrant public spaces through interactive art and media experiences.

Working with interdisciplinary teams of artists, designers, curators and marketers, we create projects and programs that engage visitors to parks, plazas, business districts and cultural sites in the unique and multi-layered "story" of that place.

Through such experiences, visitors find an emotional resonance rarely found in the public realm and discover that an otherwise generic space has become a meaningful and special place. Through such places, communities are able to preserve their heritage, shape their identity, engender pride and stewardship, and promote economic vitality.

In addition to producing individual projects, 7Story helps clients develop placemaking initiatives through strategic planning, grantwriting, and public engagement. We also produce Enlightened Spaces, a public event series exploring innovations in placemaking.
